What size am I looking for?
With A5 size, personally I would prefer to do a portrait of the head and chest of one subject. As the smaller the size of the portrait the more difficult it is to clearly add in the finer details, although this is entirely your choice.
Size A4 is a lovely size for a single portrait. I would be able to fit the subject comfortably allowing room for a mount when framing and would have plenty of scope for detail.
A3 is lovely for two or more subjects.
A5, A4, A3 etc is the size of the paper or surface chosen by you for your drawing.
It is becoming popular to have dog or cat paws or horse eyes drawn etc, please email me if you are interested in this.
These prices are based on head and shoulder portraits and/or where two subjects are in the same composition. The subject will be grounded if it is required, such as a full body portrait. Backgrounds or foregrounds that are more complex may be added following discussion, but will increase the work and time to finish and so will be extra.
A 25% booking fee is required to hold your place in the diary for the portrait, this is non refundable. All commissions must be paid for in full before they are collected/posted.
